  My name is John Gunn and I'm freelance photographer currently working and living in San Diego, CA.

Street photography and catching candid moments with friends and strangers is what initially inspired me to start playing with a camera, but most recently I have been shooting more outside of the city, focusing on the Sierra Nevada and Northern California.

 

I prefer to shoot for myself and work remotely, however in the past I have also enjoyed collaborating with restaurants, professional chefs, business owners, actors, models, entertainers, athletes, galleries and artists, and am always looking for new opportunities.

A series depicting natural scenes from the Grand Canyon and northern California is permanently hanging at Counterpoint, a neighborhood bar and restaurant in San Diego.
